Bring your mister! Calathea love humidity and they will love you if you give them a frequent spritz! They thrive in bright, but indirect light and prefer their soil to stay just slightly damp at all times. They're great communicators, and will definitely let you know when they're thirsty. Members of the prayer plant family, their leaves turn upwards at sundown, showing off their deep, metallic purple undersides, then reopen in the morning like the opening and closing of praying hands.
