Ficus umbellata is a rarer member of the Ficus family with large, emerald leaves on long, elegant stems. These guys turn into giant statement trees like their fiddle leaf cousins, but without the dramatics and guess work.

Give your umbellata plenty of bright, indirect light- an east-facing room is ideal, and err on the dry side. Allow the soil to dry out at least halfway between waterings, or let the plant do the talking and wait until its leaves begin to droop.
